Kotekhi

Kotekhi is a tiny PDO – only 14 square kilometres – neighbouring Kakheti, the largest PDO in Georgia.

It’s found on the middle section of the right bank of the Alazani river, stretching from the foothills of the Gombori mountains up the wooded north eastern slopes and down to the low ground along the river itself. That means the vineyards range from between 250-700m above sea level.

White Kotekhi is made from Rkatsiteli, characterised by a light straw colour, varietal specific aromas, and pleasant taste. The red wine is made of Saperavi with varietal aromas and a velvety texture.

However, at the moment there are no wines being produced under the PDO label.
