We’re happy to announce that Dea Purtseladze from Giuaani Winery will be hosting a tasting for Cellar Door wines at St. Albans. Join for a special evening celebrating the rich wine and culinary heritage of Georgia.
Giuaani Winery is located in the historic village of Manavi, nestled in the heart of Kakheti, Georgia’s premier wine region. This picturesque village lies along the southern slopes of the minor Caucasus and is one of Georgia’s 29 Protected Designations of Origin (PDOs). The unique soils and microclimate make Manavi ideal for growing the Kakhuri Mtsvane grape – the soul of the region’s famed dry white wines.
What to Expect:
Dea will guide us through seven wines that showcase the diversity of Georgia’s indigenous grapes and ancient winemaking techniques, including qvevri (traditional clay vessel) fermentation.
Wines on Pour:
Manavi Dry White 2022
Tvishi Semi-Sweet White 2023
Kisi-Mtsvane Qvevri 2018
Ojaleshi Dry Red 2022
