2** Michelin 2024
36 Snowsfields, London. SE1 3SU
from
18:00 to 20:30
This stunning evening combines the two-Michelin-Starred cooking of Trivet with nine fine Georgian wines. Over the past 30 years, Georgia has reconnected its ancient wine heritage with cutting-edge wine craft. Perhaps best-known as a cradle of wine, and home of the UNESCO-heritage Qvevri tradition, Georgia is also a dynamic, diverse and contemporary wine nation. The wines selected for this masterclass are all Gold-medal winners in competitions including the Decanter World Wine Awards, the IWSC, the Qvevri International Awards, and WinExpo. Judged by panels composed of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, and leading wine writers, these wines encapsulate the high quality and relevance of Georgian wine today.
Trivet’s co-owner and Master Sommelier, Isa Bal, has worked on a menu with their acclaimed chefs. Georgia’s culture of hospitality is legendary, and its cuisine a revelation. Georgian wine was born in a land where the sharing of good food is everything. The Georgian Palate series demonstrates that these wines are fit to grace every table, and the finest cooking.
The wines will be presented by Master of Wine, and noted Georgian wine expert, Sarah Abbott.
