The National Wine Agency of Georgia has reaffirmed its support for the UK wine market despite the challenges of the Corona Virus pandemic, with an adapted promotional campaign.
Webinars and Virtual Tastings
A series of Webinars and Virtual Tastings for Press and Trade will be held from May. They will be hosted by Sarah Abbott MW, whose company, Swirl, runs the UK campaign. UK-based attendees will be invited to receive sample wines and online resources will also be provided to make the tastings as enriching as possible. Press Office
The Georgian Wine UK Press Office continues to offer information and media resources to press and trade, and the GeorgianWine.UK website provides information on the expanded list of importers and, increasingly, retailers who are stocking Georgian Wine.
The Press Office also runs a sampling program for journalists and trade buyers. An expanded Press and Trade Trip is provisionally planned for September 2020.
Rescheduled Events and Press Trips
The National Wine Agency hopes to reschedule postponed events, such as the Georgian Trade Tastings, for later in the year. We all very much hope, for every reason, that this will be possible.
Additional initiatives and adaptations will be announced as the situation develops.
