Over 80 medals are awarded to Georgian wines at the International Wine Challenge 2021
The wide diversity and high quality of Georgian wine in key export markets is reflected in the results from this year’s International Wine Challenge. Eighty-four Georgian wines were awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal, and a further twenty wines were commended. These one hundred wines reflect the diversity and character of contemporary Georgian wine. The acclaimed wines include full-bodied red wines from Saperavi, classic dry whites from grapes such as Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane, and both red and amber wines made in Qvevri.
The medal-winning producers are:
Askaneli Brothers, Chalamoti, Chateau Mukhrani, Corporation Kindzmarauli, Georgian Wine House, GWS, Kakheti Company Wines, Kindzmarauli Marani, Koncho and Co, Kondoli Winery, Shumi, Tbilvino, Telavi Wine Cellar, Teliani Valley, Vachnadziani and Vazisubani.
