This October sees the first UK Festival of Georgian Wine, in collaboration with The Dartington Trust.
Developed by Masters of Wine Justin Howard Sneyd and Sarah Abbott, and the experts at Dartington, the festival will take place at the Dartington Estate in Devon from 13th to 15th October. You can sign up here to be notified as soon as bookings open. This amazing experience will be open to anyone who wishes to buy a ticket.
This weekend festival features Georgian wine, music, supra (the famous Georgian feast), wine education, wine tasting, and other aspects of Georgia’s unique and vibrant culture. Guests can buy tickets for residential, full-weekend or single events.
Outline Program
Friday 13th October
- Arrival for weekend guests. An evening of wine, song and stories: Georgian-style storytelling, with wine and supper.
Saturday 14th October
- Polyphonic singing workshop
- Georgian Dance workshop
- Georgian Wine Masterclass with Sarah Abbott and Justin Howard Sneyd MW
- Georgian Wine Festival: walk around tasting hosted by wine merchants
- Supra in the Great Hall, with Tamada (Georgian toast-master), wine and music

The Festival of Georgian Wine is for wine lovers and wine professionals, and for those more generally interested in the culture, food and wine of this creative and captivating country. Tickets and advance notification
To ensure that the event attracts a large and diverse audience, visitors can buy tickets for individual sessions, tickets for a single day, or tickets for a fully inclusive residential weekend. Ticket prices per person will range from £25 for a single workshop, to £400 for a luxurious residential weekend package inclusive of all activities and food. Tickets sales and guest registration will be managed by the Dartington Trust events team. The Festival of Georgian Wine will be part of Dartington’s acclaimed cultural program.
